Privacy policy
Last updated October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Sports Fitness collects, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
Who we are
Sports Fitness, part of Sports Group, is the data controller for the information described here. To reach us about anything in this policy, including a request to see or delete your data, use our contact form.
What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address and, if you give it, a phone number.
- Training activity — which lessons you have watched and completed, so we can show your progress.
- Billing records — your plan, subscription status and payment history. Card details are held by Stripe, never by us.
- Messages — anything you send through the contact form.
- Technical data — IP address and browser information, used for security, rate limiting and fixing faults.
Why we use it
To provide the membership you have paid for, keep your account secure, take payment, reply when you get in touch, and understand which content is worth expanding. Where we rely on consent — marketing email, for instance — you can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
Stripe processes payments and holds your card details under its own privacy policy. Our hosting provider stores the site's data on our behalf. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
How long we keep it
Account and progress data is kept while your account is open and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return. Billing records are kept for six years to meet UK tax and accounting requirements. Contact messages are kept for up to two years.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and, if you choose "keep me signed in", a long-lived cookie to remember you. Both are essential to how the site works. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or ask us to transfer it elsewhere. Get in touch through the contact form and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. The site is served over HTTPS and payments run entirely through Stripe's systems. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Before launch: add the registered company name and address, confirm your ICO registration, and have this reviewed alongside your cookie banner decision.
